Formation Program
Members are required to participate in a
formation program which begins when becoming
a candidate, proceeds as a novice, and continues
after profession of vows. The candidacy and
novitiate phases span a period of at least
two years.
This program provides study materials on
a series of
prescribed topics and general preparation
for participation
in the community.

- Hearing Jesus and responding to His call
- Seeking to know God's will. Personal spirituality
and prayer life. MGC daily prayer
- Jesus Christ and the Church. All Christians
are called to holiness and service.
- Vocation and religious life. The purpose
and role of religious communities in
the
history of the Church.
- Spiritual Direction. Selecting your spiritual
director.
- God's Revelation
- Sacred Scripture, its meaning and interpretation.
Focus on the Psalms and the Gospels.
- The mercy of God, how we experience and extend
God's mercy.
- The spirit of Francis and Clare

- History, charisms (ecumenical and inclusive),

Every candidate and novice is assigned to
a professed member who serves as his or her
mentor throughout formation.
